If there were one thing I could say that Rockstar was good at, it would have to be their ability to create engrossing environments. For years, Rockstar has made gamers across the US feel like they are really part of these fictional worlds. One of the ways they have accomplished this feat is by placing focus on the little details of each environment.

See, we have an interesting genre here. It was popularized way back in the days when arcade games cost a quarter a play (and arcades were still around). The dual stick shooter was popularized mainly by Robotron, a nifty game where you save friends and family from impending peril at the hands of vicious robots.

Lost Odyssey is the second next-gen RPG from the guys who made Final Fantasy, which I know only because its all over the commercials, posters, cardboard standees and magazine ads for it. Unfortunately, this reputation also comes with high expectations. (remember the hype and tension as reviews for Final Fantasy X came in one-by-one?)
